In indigenous cultures, the drum is revered as a living being that serves many aspects incommunal and spiritual life. Throughout history and across spiritual traditions, the drum isconsidered a sacred instrument that generates healing, opens communication with the spiritual realms, connects us to nature spirits, aids in the divining of answers and reveals the cosmos inside and out! While our intentions will be simple, it’s my experience that these vibrations trigger a sound-memory deep inside.

In this 3-week series, we’ll be ‘meeting’ the drum (and rattle) as a Teacher and Healer that guides us back into the heartbeat of the earth and into the original rhythm of our bodies.

Each class will include:

Good in the Beginning

Opening with mindful movement & review shamanic cosmology and how to navigate the inner terrain of a ‘Drum-journey’

Good in the Middle

3 Drum-journeys with 3 different intentions:

1. Exploring the 3 worlds,

2. Ask a question -Receive and Answer,

3. Meet your power animal

Good in the End

Integrate using the arts, the written word, and sharing as a group. Closing on purpose
